The oil-in-water sensor technology is a reliable system for measuring water content in oil. Moisture is second only to particles in the oil system, the second largest source of pollution, but also greatly affect the mechanical products and oil life. Moisture can cause mechanical damage to the engine, cylinders, bearings, etc., increasing maintenance costs and resulting in expensive downtime (typically EUR 10,000 - 200,000)
The degree of water dissolution in the oil depends on the type of oil, additives, degree of oxidation, temperature and other factors are very different, so the sensor needs to be fully calibrated to ensure the correct measurement of water. Conventional methods require the sampling and analysis of the oil. The sensor provides continuous monitoring of the entire oil system and alarms the high moisture levels that can cause damage to the machine. In addition to providing a fault alarm, it can also be used to ensure that the separator, filter and dryer on-demand operation. The sensor transmits the signal to any external condition monitoring system, generates an alarm signal, and provides local display.

Chemical or laboratory methods are often used to measure the water content of the oil, either in percentage (%) or ppm.
Disadvantages of the laboratory method:
• The sample size is too small to be representative
• Poor timeliness - Loss has occurred before the results are available
• It is usually one to two months to analyze
• The results of many different oil analysis methods are very inaccurate - for example, less than 1000 ppm. In many oil applications, the damage effect has occurred at 100 ppm.
• The moisture content of the oil system can be measured 24/7 by installing a T & C oil-in-water analyzer to eliminate these effects.

Technical Parameters
The sensor is easy to install and connect. Measurement range of 0.01-1.00aw, accuracy 0.03aw, resolution> 0.004aw. The default alarm values are 0.50aw and 0.9aw (can be changed on the controller). With ball valve installation conditions, the sensor in the oil working pressure up to 10bar. If the maximum pressure for thread installation 20bar, operating temperature 0 C to 90 C.
